Corn, Soybean Use Jumps, South America's Crops Dominate Prices
March corn is up 3/4 cent per bushel, March soybeans are up 6 1/2 cents,
March KC wheat is down 1 cent, March Chicago wheat is up 1/2 cent, and MIAX
March Minneapolis wheat is down 0.0250 cents.

EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is up 3/4 cent per bushel,
March soybeans are up 6 1/2 cents, March KC wheat is down 1 cent, March Chicago
wheat is up 1/2 cent, and MIAX March Minneapolis wheat is down 0.0250 cents.
CME GLOBEX RECAP: On Monday, March corn closed down 2 1/2 cents, March
soybeans closed down 4 cents, and March KC wheat closed down 9 1/2 cents.
Technical chart moves and weaker macro markets pressured soybean prices.
Brazil's fast start to its harvest season also weighed on the market. Soybean
and hard red winter wheat basis strengthened on Monday, while corn, spring
wheat, and soft red winter wheat basis were steady. There are no major USDA or
macroeconomic reports scheduled for Tuesday. Ag markets will remain in tune
with weather developments around the globe. Meanwhile, the House of
Representatives is set to vote on the Senate-approved funding bill to end the
partial government shutdown.
OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial
Average up 515.19 at 49,407.66 and the S&P 500 up 37.41 at 6,976.44. The
10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.275%. Early Tuesday, the March Dow Jones
Futures are down 51 points. European markets are mixed, with the spot futures
of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.22%, spot futures of Germany's DAX are
trading up 0.1%, and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index are down 0.1%.
Asian markets are mixed, with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 2.62% and China's
Shanghai Composite Index down 1.22%.
