DTN COMMENTS:  All remains quiet in cattle feeding country this afternoon 
with bids and asking prices not fully established. Significant trade 
volume will likely be delayed until later in the week. 

Today's slaughter totaled 110,000 head, 1,000 more than last week, but 
8,000 less than a year ago. Cattle futures closed moderately to sharply 
lower on both live and feeder contracts. Beef cutouts are expected to 
close higher with light to moderate box movement.
